Han's niece, and Ob bigwig.
An ambitious tiefling in her late 20s, Lya is the niece of Han Jierre, the Sovereign of Danor (her father is Han’s brother). She graduated top of her class from the prestigious academy of war, the Jierre Sciens d’Arms, and many students of other war colleges have read her thesis, Field Study of Melee Effectiveness and Foe Debilitation through Focused Limb Severance Techniques Contrasted with Mainstream Opportunistic Techniques, which she wrote near the end of the last Yerasol War.
She is probably the youngest individual in Danor’s history to be awarded the position of Minister of Outsiders, giving her great leeway to travel and make alliances. In a way, this makes her the Danoran counterpart of Nigel Price-Hill, since the Ministry of Outsiders handles foreign threats or concerns, making it similar to the RHC.
Lya has invited the constables to her wedding – it’s been revealed that she plans to marry King Aodhan, a gesture that will hopefully help unify their two nations and promote peace. For the moment, however, they are not officially engaged; though if the peace talks go well, one of them is expected to make an official proposal.
This is problematic, as the constables have seen firsthand that she belongs to the Obscurati, likely with a higher rank than any other member they’ve identified. Wisely, they vetted the king and have warned him of Lya and the Obscurati.
Lya was present well ahead of the peace talks during Chapter 5, apparently overseeing Borne’s construction facility in Flint. When the party arrived, she did her utmost to make sure they never got word out about the Ob’s little project, but she was ultimately defeated and dragged off to an RHC holding cell.
After a lengthy prison stay, politcal pressure finally forced King Aodhan’s hand. Lya was executed publicly on Summer 38, 501 AOV. Her spirit was banished by necromantic magic, sending it beyond even Nem, the plane of Death, making it impossible to resurrect her or to raise her as any form of undead.
